SEE ALSO...

PADI4 Antibody (A-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PADI4 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PADI4 (A-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The protein arginine deiminase (PAD) family, which includes PADI4, plays a crucial role in the post-translational modification of proteins by catalyzing the conversion of arginine residues to citrulline in the presence of calcium. This modification is particularly significant in the context of autoimmune diseases, as increased citrullination of proteins has been implicated in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis. PADI4 is primarily localized in the cytoplasm of eosinophils and neutrophils, where PADI4 contributes to the regulation of immune responses. The gene encoding PADI4 is associated with susceptibility to rheumatoid arthritis, highlighting PADI4′s importance in understanding disease mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets.

does this antibody detects mouse PAD4

Asked by: neha mishra
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately this antibody has not been tested on mouse samples, and the homology to the mouse PADI4 protein is not high enough for us to recommend it. If you would like to try a sample of the antibody to see if it will detect mouse, please contact our European Technical Service team. You can reach them by phone at Toll Free: +49 6221 4503 0, by email at: europe@scbt.com or by live chat directly on our website, www.scbt.com, and they'd be glad to send you a sample of sc-365369.
