PACAP Antibody (F-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgM kappa light chain antibody designed to detect the human pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide (PACAP), also known as ADCYAP1 or adenylate cyclase activating polypeptide 1. PACAP monoclonal antibody (F-2) is raised against amino acids 101-176 of the human PACAP protein, ensuring precise binding and high affinity for use in various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PACAP is predominantly located in the cytoplasm of neurons, where PACAP plays a crucial role in neuroprotection, neurodevelopment, and the modulation of neurotransmitter release, highlighting PACAP′s significance in both central and peripheral nervous systems. Additionally, PACAP is involved in the regulation of stress responses, influencing the synthesis of hormones such as growth hormone, and has been implicated in immune system modulation and anti-inflammatory processes. PACAP (F-2) antibody exhibits broad species reactivity, effectively recognizing PACAP from mouse, rat, and human origins, making PACAP (F-2) antibody a versatile tool for comparative studies across different models. Understanding the cellular localization of PACAP is essential for elucidating PACAP′s mechanisms of action and involvement in various physiological and pathological processes, including neurodegenerative diseases and metabolic disorders. Anti-PACAP antibody (F-2) is available in non-conjugated form, providing flexibility for researchers to utilize in multiple experimental setups without interference from labels or tags.
