PABP Antibody (A-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects PABP protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PABP Antibody (A-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The Poly(A)-binding protein (PABP) plays a crucial role in the regulation of mRNA metabolism, including translation initiation, stability, and degradation. Located predominantly in the cytoplasm, PABP interacts with the poly(A) tail of eukaryotic mRNA, which is vital for the recruitment of translation initiation factors and the formation of the translation initiation complex.
