PA26 Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PA26 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PA26 (C-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PA26 protein plays a crucial role in cellular response to DNA damage, acting as a potential target of p53 tumor suppressor. PA26 is involved in regulating cell cycle checkpoints, particularly in G1 phase, where PA26 helps mediate growth arrest in response to DNA damage. This function maintains genomic stability by allowing cells to repair damaged DNA before proceeding to DNA synthesis and mitosis. PA26 belongs to a family of growth arrest and DNA damage-inducible proteins, which includes GADD 45 and GADD 34, and PA26 expression increases in response to stress signals, highlighting PA26′s importance in tumor suppression and cellular homeostasis. Three isoforms of PA26 have been identified, namely PA26-T1, PA26-T2, and PA26-T3, each potentially contributing to PA26′s diverse functions in cellular stress responses.
