p67-phox Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects p67-phox of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). p67-phox Antibody (D-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. p67-phox, also known as neutrophil cytosolic factor 2 (NCF2), plays a crucial role in immune response by participating in NADPH oxidase complex activation, which is essential for reactive oxygen species production in neutrophils and other phagocytic cells. This process is vital for pathogen destruction, and mutations in p67-phox have been implicated in chronic granulomatous disease, a hereditary condition compromising immune system function. p67-phox structure includes two Src homology 3 (SH3) domains, with C-terminal SH3 domain interacting with proline-rich domain of p47phox, another NADPH oxidase complex component. This interaction suggests a mechanism where p47phox facilitates p67-phox translocation to plasma membrane, promoting functional enzyme complex assembly necessary for effective immune responses.
