SEE ALSO...

p57 Kip2 Antibody (KP39) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects p57 Kip2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). p57 Kip2 Antibody (KP39) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. p57 Kip2 protein plays a crucial role in regulating cell cycle progression by acting as a potent inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinases (Cdks), specifically targeting several G1 cyclin/Cdk complexes. This regulation is vital for maintaining proper cell division and preventing uncontrolled proliferation, which can lead to tumorigenesis. Unlike other members of the p21 Waf1/Cip1 family, p57 Kip2 functions independently of p53 in the cell cycle control mechanism. p57 Kip2′s ability to arrest cells in the G1 phase highlights its importance in cellular responses to growth signals and stress, making p57 Kip2 a significant focus for research in cancer biology and therapeutic interventions.

The representative picture of western blot shows non-57 kDa size band in the page (https://www.scbt.com/ja/p/p57-antibody-kp39). Why the size are not 57kDa? One of the pictures shows more than two bands. What are those bands? Thanks.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with p57 (KP39): sc-56341 monoclonal antibody?

Asked by: TinTin
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins (m-IgGκ) conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Molto soddisfacente in western blotL'anticorpo mostra un buon segnale in western blot su lisati di condrociti articolari umani di controllo e trattati con LiCl (5uM) (lane 2-3). Un segnale più debole si osserva in lisati di Jurkat (100kcells) (lane 4) . Molto specifico, buona reattività. Peso osservato circa 55kDa (banda compresa tra 50kDa e 60kDa).
