P504S Antibody (15) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects P504S in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). P504S, also known as α-methylacyl-CoA racemase (AMACR), plays a crucial role in the metabolism of branched-chain fatty acids and bile acid intermediates, localizing primarily to the peroxisome and mitochondrion. AMACR (clone 15) antibody catalyzes the conversion of pristanoyl-CoA and C27-bile acyl-CoAs to their (S)-stereoisomers, which are essential for subsequent degradation via peroxisomal β-oxidation.
