p41-ARCb Antibody (C-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects p41-ARCb in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). p41-ARCb, also known as ARPC1B or ARC41, is a 372 amino acid subunit of the Arp2/3 complex, which plays a crucial role in regulating actin polymerization and forming branched actin networks. p41-ARCb is primarily localized in the cytoplasm and cytoskeleton, where p41-ARCb maintains the structural integrity of the Arp2/3 complex. Unlike other subunits of the complex, p41-ARCb doesn′t directly participate in actin polymerization but instead supports complex assembly and maintenance, which drives cellular processes like motility, shape, and division. Multiple isoforms of p41-ARCb exist due to post-translational modifications, showcasing functional diversity that adapts to various cellular contexts and developmental stages. Through interactions with other Arp2/3 complex proteins, p41-ARCb orchestrates dynamic changes in the actin cytoskeleton, making p41-ARCb a valuable research target in cell biology and related fields.
