SEE ALSO...

p-PKA IIβ reg Antibody (pS114.20A) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Ser 114 phosphorylated PKA IIβ reg of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). p-PKA IIβ reg (pS114.20A) antibody is available in both conjugated and non-conjugated forms, providing flexibility for various experimental needs. p-PKA IIβ reg, also known as PRKAR2B, is a crucial regulatory subunit of the cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA) and consists of 418 amino acids. p-PKA IIβ reg functions to modulate PKA activity, which plays a vital role in mediating cellular responses to external signals through the second messenger cyclic AMP. When cAMP binds to regulatory subunits of the PKA holoenzyme, active catalytic subunits are released, thereby influencing processes such as metabolism, gene transcription, and ion transport. p-PKA IIβ reg suppresses CREB transcriptional activity and down-regulates interleukin-2 production in T-lymphocytes, highlighting significance in both metabolic regulation and immune function. Studies on p-PKA IIβ reg knockout mice have revealed that absence of this protein leads to reduced white adipose tissue and protection against diet-induced obesity and fatty liver, further underscoring importance in metabolic health.
