SEE ALSO...

PKA IIβ reg Antibody (C-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects PKA II beta reg protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PKA II beta reg antibody (C-2) is available as the non-conjugated form. PKA II beta regulatory protein plays a crucial role in regulating cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA) pathway, which mediates various cellular responses to external stimuli, including cell proliferation, ion transport, metabolic regulation, and gene transcription. PKA II beta regulatory protein is primarily located in the cytoplasm, forming a complex with PKA catalytic subunits to control kinase activation in response to elevated cyclic AMP (cAMP) levels. This localization ensures PKA activation occurs only when necessary, preventing inappropriate signaling that could lead to cellular dysfunction. Upon cAMP binding to regulatory subunits, active catalytic subunits release and move to the nucleus, phosphorylating key transcription factors like cAMP response element-binding protein (CREB), influencing gene expression and cellular responses. Precise regulation of PKA activity maintains cellular homeostasis and appropriate physiological responses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Potent and very specific antibodyThis monoclonal antibody was independently tested in-house by Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation and validated for use for Western blotting. There was strong detection of the ~64 kDa target protein in mouse tissues (brain/testes/thymus/muscle mix). No major cross-reactivities were observed at 2 µg/ml antibody concentration with off-target proteins in the mouse tissues tested.
