Datasheets
  • p-JNK Antibody (14.Thr 183/Tyr 185) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ, cited in 65 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against a short amino acid sequence containing phosphorylated Thr 183 and Tyr 185 of JNK of human origin
  • recommended for detection of Thr 183 and Tyr 185 phosphorylated JNK1, and correspondingly phosphorylated JNK2 and JNK3 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • available conjugated to agarose for IP; and to HRP for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP, m-IgG1 BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for p-JNK Antibody (14.Thr 183/Tyr 185) for WB applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with p-JNK Antibody (14.Thr 183/Tyr 185) (see ordering information below).

SEE ALSO...

p-JNK Antibody (14.Thr183/Tyr185) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody raised against human JNK phosphorylated at both Thr183 and Tyr185, key regulatory sites of this stress-activated protein kinase. p-JNK mouse monoclonal antibody (14.Thr183/Tyr185) specifically recognizes JNK only when both threonine 183 and tyrosine 185 are phosphorylated and demonstrates broad species cross-reactivity, detecting phosphorylated JNK in mouse, rat, and human samples through Western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) applications. Anti-p-JNK monoclonal antibody (14.Thr183/Tyr185) is available in both conjugated and non-conjugated forms, offering versatility for diverse experimental needs. The JNK family members (JNK1, JNK2, and JNK3) function as critical components within the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) cascade, where dual phosphorylation serves as a molecular switch controlling their activation. JNK2 and JNK3, comprising 424 and 464 amino acids respectively, maintain dynamic distribution between cytoplasmic and nuclear compartments. This spatial regulation enables JNKs to respond rapidly to various activating signals, including cytokines and growth factors. The phosphorylation at Thr183 and Tyr185 proves particularly crucial as these modifications trigger JNK′s catalytic activity, enabling phosphorylation of downstream targets that control stress responses, apoptosis, and inflammation. The significance of precise JNK regulation becomes especially evident with JNK3, where mutations can lead to severe neurological conditions such as Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. Through these phosphorylation-dependent functions, p-JNK (14.Thr183/Tyr185) antibody serves as a valuable tool for investigating both normal signaling mechanisms and disease pathways.

Are there any issues with using sc-293136: p-JNK (14.Thr 183/Tyr 185) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-293136 conjugates.
