SEE ALSO...

p-CD88 Antibody (32-G1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects p-CD88 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). p-CD88, also known as the phosphorylated form of the C5a receptor (C5aR), is a G protein-coupled integral membrane protein that plays a crucial role in the immune response by mediating the effects of the inflammatory peptide C5a. p-CD88 is predominantly expressed on immune cells such as neutrophils, monocytes, and macrophages, as well as on hepatocytes and various epithelial and endothelial cells, highlighting its importance in both innate immunity and inflammation. The phosphorylation of p-CD88 at serines 332, 334, and 338 is particularly significant, as this modification serves as a key regulatory mechanism that modulates receptor activity. Upon binding with C5a, p-CD88 undergoes rapid phosphorylation, which not only enhances signaling capabilities but also leads to receptor desensitization and internalization, thereby fine-tuning the inflammatory response. p-CD88′s influence on acute phase protein production in the liver and association with inflammation in the brain underscores a critical role in both systemic and localized immune responses, making anti-p-CD88 antibody (32-G1) an essential tool for researchers studying immune signaling pathways and inflammatory processes.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with p-CD88 (32-G1): sc-53793?

Asked by: cjMara
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
