OX2R Antibody (OX102) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the OX2R protein of mouse and rat origin by immunofluorescence (IF) and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-OX2R antibody (OX102) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs. The OX2 receptor (OX2R), also known as CD200 receptor, is a critical membrane protein that plays a significant role in immune regulation. OX2R is primarily expressed in lymphoid and neuronal tissues, where OX2R interacts with its ligand, OX2, to modulate immune responses. The cytoplasmic domain of OX2R contains NPXY motifs that facilitate interactions with phosphotyrosine-binding (PTB) domains, which are essential for downstream signaling pathways. These interactions are crucial for maintaining immune homeostasis, as OX2R helps suppress excessive macrophage activation and limits inflammatory damage in tissues. Understanding OX2R function and interactions is vital for developing therapeutic strategies aimed at controlling inflammation and autoimmune diseases.

How can OX2R (OX102): sc-53101 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: jenniferc
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-53101 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-53101 FITC).
