Ovarian Carcinoma-associated Antigen Antibody (OV632) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects Ovarian Carcinoma-associated Antigen of human origin by immunofluorescence (IF) and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-Ovarian Carcinoma-associated Antigen antibody (OV632) is available as the non-conjugated form. Ovarian Carcinoma-associated Antigen plays a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cancer, a disease characterized by malignant growth of cells in the ovaries. Ovarian Carcinoma-associated Antigen is particularly significant because of its association with human folate receptor-α (FR-α), a protein selectively overexpressed in ovarian carcinoma. FR-α overexpression not only aids in ovarian cancer identification but also presents a potential therapeutic target, as FR-α is involved in folate uptake, essential for DNA synthesis and repair. FR-α presence in ovarian cancer cells can lead to increased tumor growth and resistance to certain treatments, making FR-α a critical focus for ongoing research and clinical applications. Anti-Ovarian Carcinoma-associated Antigen antibody (OV632) specifically targeting these antigens serves as an invaluable tool in both early detection and development of targeted therapies for ovarian cancer, ultimately contributing to improved patient outcomes.
