SEE ALSO...

Osteoglycin Antibody (G-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Osteoglycin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Osteoglycin (G-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Osteoglycin, also known as Mimecan or osteoinductive factor, is a member of the small leucine-rich proteoglycan (SLRP) family, which plays a crucial role in organizing extracellular matrix and interacts with transforming growth factor beta (TGFβ) to regulate bone formation. Osteoglycin is primarily secreted and found in bone tissues, where Osteoglycin is essential for inducing bone formation in conjunction with TGFβ1 or TGFβ2. The precursor form of Osteoglycin undergoes in situ proteolytic cleavage, resulting in a mature form that is biologically active. This post-translational modification ensures proper functioning of Osteoglycin in bone development and maintenance, highlighting Osteoglycin′s importance in skeletal health and potential implications in bone-related diseases.
