SEE ALSO...

OST48 Antibody (E-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects OST48 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-OST48 antibody (E-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. OST48 plays a crucial role in the mammalian oligosaccharyltransferase (OST) complex, which is essential for the cotranslational N-glycosylation of newly synthesized polypeptides. This process is vital for proper protein folding, stability, and function, as glycosylation can influence protein interactions, localization, and activity. The OST complex, which includes OST48 along with ribophorins I and II and DAD1, is localized to the rough endoplasmic reticulum, where OST48 facilitates the addition of oligosaccharides to nascent proteins. The interaction between the cytoplasmic N-terminal region of DAD1 and the short cytoplasmic tail of OST48 is critical for the assembly and function of the OST complex, underscoring OST48′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and protein quality control.

We are looking for anti-AGE-R (not RAGE ) . I have seen in some papers-goat anti-AGE-R1 (Santa Cruz ). Do you have the replacement?

Asked by: beso
Thank you for the question. Currently no replacement is available, we do not offer an antibody against Advanced glycation end product receptor 1 (AGE-R1) currently.

Are there any issues with using sc-74408: OST48 (E-9) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-74408 conjugates.
