OSR2 Antibody (H-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects OSR2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). OSR2 (H-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. OSR2 protein, which is 312 amino acids long and contains five zinc finger domains, plays a crucial role in embryonic development and bone formation, making OSR2 essential for proper skeletal development. OSR2 is predominantly expressed in the kidneys, skeletal muscle, testis, and mouse embryos, where OSR2 is believed to influence transcriptional activity and osteoblast function. Notably, OSR2 is involved in regulating palatal development and the expression of alkaline phosphatase, with OSR2 expression being modulated by C/EBP regulatory elements. OSR2 exists in two isoforms, OSR2A and OSR2B, produced through alternative splicing; OSR2B is shorter by 36 amino acids and contains only three zinc finger motifs. Both isoforms localize to the nucleus and have opposing transcriptional activities, highlighting the complexity of OSR2′s regulatory functions. Mutations in the gene encoding OSR2 can disrupt the expression of critical genes such as Pax-9 and TGFβ3, further underscoring OSR2′s importance in developmental processes.
