OSR1 Antibody (G-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects OSR1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). OSR1, or odd-skipped-related 1, is a 266 amino acid protein that plays a pivotal role in embryonic development and kidney formation, particularly in the metanephric kidney. OSR1 is primarily expressed in the colon, small intestine, prostate, testis, and fetal lung, highlighting OSR1′s importance in various tissues. Notably, OSR1 is characterized by three C2H2-type zinc fingers, a tyrosine phosphorylation site, and several putative PXXP SH3 binding motifs, which are crucial for OSR1′s interaction with other proteins and signaling pathways. The absence of OSR1 in mice leads to severe developmental defects, including the failure to form the metanephric mesenchyme and the null expression of key proteins such as EYA1, Six2, Pax, Sall1, and GDNF, all of which are essential for normal kidney development. The upregulation of OSR1 in several pancreatic and esophageal cancer cell lines further underscores OSR1′s potential role in cancer biology, making anti-OSR1 antibody (G-5) a valuable tool for researchers studying both developmental processes and cancer mechanisms.
