OSM Antibody (G-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Oncostatin M (OSM) of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). OSM (G-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. OSM is a glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in regulating cell growth and differentiation, particularly in hematopoietic cells, and inhibits the proliferation of various human tumor cell lines while sparing normal human fibroblasts. OSM′s function is significant due to involvement in inflammatory responses and potential therapeutic implications in cancer treatment, as OSM interacts with high-affinity receptors on both normal and tumor cells. OSM is predominantly expressed in activated monocytic and lymphocytic cell lines, as well as in normal adherent macrophages, highlighting OSM′s importance in immune responses. OSM′s amino acid sequence shows homology with other key cytokines such as leukemia inhibitory factor, granulocyte colony-stimulating factor, and interleukin 6, all of which are vital for the growth and differentiation of various cell types.
