    SEE ALSO...

Osgep Antibody (H-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Osgep protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Osgep antibody (H-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Osgep protein, also known as O-sialoglycoprotein endopeptidase or GCPL1, plays a crucial role in the cleavage of membrane glycoproteins that contain clusters of O-linked sialoglycans, specifically targeting the 31-Arg-l-Asp-32 bond in glycophorin A. This selective cleavage regulates the turnover and function of glycoproteins, which are essential for various cellular processes, including cell signaling and adhesion. Osgep is predominantly expressed in the liver, skeletal muscle, and kidney, with its gene located on human chromosome 14, a region that also harbors genes associated with critical health conditions, such as Alzheimer′s disease and a1-antitrypsin deficiency. The ability of Osgep to specifically cleave glycoproteins while sparing desialylated or unglycosylated proteins underscores its potential importance in both physiological and pathological contexts, making Osgep (H-3) monoclonal antibody a valuable tool for researchers studying glycoprotein dynamics and related diseases.
