ORP-3 Antibody (G-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ORP-3 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ORP-3 (G-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ORP-3, also known as OSBP-related protein 3 or OSBPL3, is an 887 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in regulating cellular processes such as actin cytoskeletal control, cell polarity, and cell adhesion. ORP-3 contains a pleckstrin homology (PH) domain, which is essential for interaction with phosphoinositides, thereby influencing membrane dynamics and signaling pathways. ORP-3 exists as eight alternatively spliced isoforms, designated 1a-1d and 2a-2d, and is expressed in various tissues, including colon, lung, spleen, brain, thyroid, bone marrow, and skeletal muscle, while being absent in liver and heart tissue. ORP-3 is encoded on human chromosome 7, a region associated with several genetic disorders, highlighting ORP-3′s significance in both normal physiology and disease states.
