SEE ALSO...

Orc2 Antibody (C-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Orc2 of yeast origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Orc2 (C-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Orc2, along with Orc1, is one of the six essential subunits of the yeast origin of replication complex (ORC), which is crucial for initiating DNA replication by binding to autonomously replicating sequences (ARS). The proper functioning of Orc2 is vital as Orc2 not only facilitates the assembly of the ORC-ARS complex but also interacts with other key proteins such as Cdc6, which ensures that DNA replication occurs only once per cell cycle. Additionally, Orc2′s interaction with minichromosome maintenance (MCM) proteins is critical for the regulation of DNA replication, as these proteins bind to chromatin and activate the replication process. Understanding the role of Orc2 in these interactions is important for elucidating the mechanisms of DNA replication and its regulation, which has significant implications in cell biology and cancer research.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398410 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
