OLIG1 Antibody (E-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects OLIG1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). OLIG1 is a member of the oligodendrocyte lineage-specific basic helix-loop-helix (OLIG) family of transcription factors, which play a crucial role in the regulation of oligodendrogenesis, particularly in the development of oligodendrocytes in the nervous system. OLIG1 is predominantly expressed in nervous tissue, where anti-OLIG1 antibody (E-12) detects key regulatory functions during the formation of oligodendrocytes, essential for myelination and proper neuronal function. Notably, OLIG1 interacts with the Nkx-2.2 homeodomain protein, which is vital for ventral neuronal patterning in the embryonic neural tube, thereby influencing the differentiation of various neuronal cell types.
