Odf3l2 Antibody (H-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Odf3l2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Odf3l2 (H-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Odf3l2, also known as C19orf19, plays a crucial role in the structural integrity of the outer dense fibers in the sperm tail, which are essential for sperm motility and function. Located on the outside of the axoneme, these fibers contribute to the passive elastic properties and recoil of the sperm tail, thereby facilitating effective movement. Odf3l2 is part of a larger family of proteins that are predominantly expressed during spermiogenesis, with expression occurring in the later stages of spermatogenesis within the flagella of elongated spermatids and mature sperm. Odf3l2 consists of 289 amino acids and features three DUF1309 repeats, with its gene mapping to human chromosome 19p13.3 and mouse chromosome 10 C1. Alternative splicing of the Odf3l2 gene results in the production of two distinct isoforms, further underscoring the complexity and regulatory mechanisms involved in sperm development.
