OCTN3 Antibody (B-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects OCTN3 protein of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). OCTN3 (B-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. OCTN3 plays a crucial role in the transport of carnitine, a vital compound involved in the β-oxidation of long-chain fatty acids, which is essential for energy production in cells. By facilitating carnitine reabsorption in the kidney, OCTN3 helps maintain cellular energy homeostasis and supports metabolic processes. OCTN3 is predominantly expressed in the testis and exhibits weaker expression in the kidney, highlighting its specialized function in reproductive tissues. The gene encoding human OCTN3 is located on chromosome 5, and mutations in this gene can disrupt carnitine transport, potentially leading to metabolic disorders.
