SEE ALSO...

OCTL1 Antibody (B-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects OCTL1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). OCTL1 (B-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. OCTL1 protein, also known as SLC22A13, OCTL3, or ORCTL3, is a crucial member of the major facilitator superfamily and plays a significant role in the transport of organic cations, including catecholamines and neurotoxic compounds. This 551 amino acid transmembrane protein is predominantly expressed in glial cells and kidney tissue, highlighting OCTL1′s importance in the uptake and regulation of neurotransmitters and drugs within the central nervous system and renal system. OCTL1′s ability to facilitate the transport of organic cations is vital for drug absorption, targeting, and deposition, making OCTL1 a key player in pharmacokinetics and toxicology. Understanding OCTL1 function is essential for developing therapeutic strategies that optimize drug delivery and minimize neurotoxicity, thereby enhancing treatment efficacy and safety in clinical settings.
