Nulp1 Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Nulp1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Nulp1 (A-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Nulp1, also known as nuclear localized protein 1 or transcription factor 25, is a 676 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in regulating cell death, making Nulp1 significant in developmental processes and disease states. Nulp1 is primarily localized in the nucleus, where Nulp1 is involved in transcriptional repression, particularly of serum response factor (SRF), and also interacts with X-linked inhibitor of apoptosis protein (XIAP), which is important for apoptosis regulation. Nuclear localization of Nulp1 is vital for function in gene expression modulation, and cytosolic presence suggests additional roles in cellular signaling pathways. Nulp1 is widely expressed, with particularly high levels found in the embryonic brain and adult heart, indicating significance in both development and cardiac function. The gene encoding Nulp1 is located on human chromosome 16, a region associated with several genetic disorders, including giant axonal neuropathy and Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome, highlighting potential implications in various pathologies.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514203 P appropriate for?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
