    SEE ALSO...

Nucling Antibody (A-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Nucling protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Nucling antibody (A-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Nucling, also known as UACA (uveal autoantigen with coiled-coil domains and ankyrin repeats) and KIAA1561, is a 1,416 amino acid protein predominantly located in the nucleus and cytoplasm, where Nucling plays a crucial role in cellular apoptosis. Nucling functions as a key component of the apoptosome complex, which includes Apaf-1 and caspase-9, and is up-regulated following thyroid-stimulating hormone stimulation. Nucling directly interacts with Apaf-1, facilitating Apaf-1 redistribution to the nucleus in response to pro-apoptotic stress, thereby promoting apoptosis through pathways involving the down-regulation of galectin-3, up-regulation of the apoptosome, and inactivation of NFκB. Additionally, Nucling interacts with ARF6, potentially influencing cell shape and motility after injury. With high expression levels in the kidney, heart, pancreas, and skeletal muscle, Nucling is also recognized as a potential target autoantigen in conditions such as Behcet disease, Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada syndrome, and sarcoidosis, which are associated with various forms of pan-uveitis.
