Datasheets
  • NSUN6 Antibody (D-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ NSUN6 antibody provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 388-402 within an internal region of NSUN6 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of NSUN6 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • TransCruz reagent for ChIP application (sc-393446 X, 200 µg/0.1 ml)
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for NSUN6 Antibody (D-5) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with NSUN6 Antibody (D-5) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

    SEE ALSO...

NSUN6 Antibody (D-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects NSUN6 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-NSUN6 antibody (D-5) is available as the non-conjugated form. NSUN6, also known as NOL1/NOP2/Sun domain family member 6, plays a vital role in the nucleolus, which is essential for ribosome assembly and the maintenance of nucleolar structure. This 469 amino acid protein belongs to the methyltransferase superfamily and contains a PUA domain, suggesting a potential S-adenosyl-L-methionine-dependent methyltransferase activity. NSUN6 is encoded on human chromosome 10, a region that harbors over 1,200 genes and accounts for nearly 4.5% of the human genome. Notably, defects in genes mapping to this chromosome have been linked to various genetic disorders, including Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease and multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2. Understanding NSUN6 function is crucial, as NSUN6 may influence ribosomal RNA methylation, thereby impacting protein synthesis and cellular function.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-393446 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
