SEE ALSO...

NSE1 Antibody (D-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NSE1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NSE1 (D-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NSE1 plays a vital role in DNA repair, particularly in double-stranded breaks that can occur during DNA replication or due to exposure to damaging agents. Efficient repair of these breaks is essential for maintaining genomic stability and preventing cell death. NSE1 functions as a key component of the structural maintenance of chromosomes (SMC) complex, which includes SMC5 and SMC6, along with six conserved non-SMC subunits. This complex is crucial for sister chromatid homologous recombination DNA repair and helps prevent chromosomal rearrangements. A RING-like motif in NSE1 enhances DNA repair capabilities of the SMC5/SMC6 complex, and complete deletion of NSE1 is lethal to cells, underscoring its importance in cellular survival. Additionally, NSE2, another protein in this complex, facilitates the sumoylation of SMC6 and the DNA repair protein TRAX, and NSE2 depletion can lead to increased susceptibility to DNA damage-induced apoptosis.

I am using NSE1 (D-2): sc-376585 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great!I tried many of Ab against Nse1 from other company. None of them were able to detect endogenous level of Nse1 in my cell line. I ask for a trial sample and tested it. It works nicely in HepG2 cells. So now I bought a vial from santacruz
