NSD3 Antibody (E-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects NSD3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-NSD3 antibody (E-3) is available as the non-conjugated form. NSD3, consisting of 1,437 amino acids, plays a crucial role in gene regulation and chromatin remodeling, which are essential processes for maintaining cellular function and identity. NSD3 contains two PWWP domains that facilitate protein-protein interactions, five PHD-type zinc finger motifs characteristic of chromatin-associated proteins, a SET domain involved in histone methylation, and a C-terminal C5HCH domain. These structural features underscore NSD3′s importance in epigenetic regulation. Two variants of NSD3 have been identified: a shorter variant of 645 amino acids resulting from alternative polyadenylation and exon splicing, which includes a single PWWP domain, and a longer variant of 1,388 amino acids specifically expressed in HeLa cells. The human WHSC1L1 gene, encoding NSD3, exhibits 68% and 55% identity with mouse Nsd1 and human WHSC1, respectively. NSD3 is predominantly expressed in brain, heart, and skeletal muscle tissues, with lower expression levels found in the liver and lungs, highlighting its potential significance in these vital organs.
