Nrf2 Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects amino acids 37-336 of Nrf2 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Nrf2 monoclonal antibody (A-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Nrf2, also known as NF-E2-related factor 2, plays a crucial role in cellular defense mechanisms by regulating the expression of antioxidant and detoxifying enzymes, thereby protecting cells from oxidative stress and inflammation. Nrf2 is primarily located in the cytoplasm under normal conditions, where Keap1 maintains regulatory control. Upon exposure to oxidative stress or xenobiotics, Nrf2 translocates to the nucleus, where binding to antioxidant response elements (ARE) in promoter regions of target genes facilitates the transcription of protective proteins. This translocation enhances the expression of genes involved in detoxification and antioxidant defense, such as NAD(P)H quinone dehydrogenase 1 (NQO1). Anti-Nrf2 antibody (A-10) detects Nrf2 in both whole cell lysates and nuclear extracts, making this tool valuable for studying oxidative stress responses and related pathways.
