SEE ALSO...

NPR-B Antibody (1E4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects NPR-B protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-NPR-B antibody (1E4) is available as the non-conjugated format. NPR-B, also known as Guanylate cyclase B, plays a crucial role in cardiovascular and renal homeostasis by mediating the effects of C-type natriuretic peptide (CNP). Located primarily in vascular smooth muscle cells and endothelial cells, NPR-B monoclonal antibody (1E4) targets a protein essential for vasodilation and growth inhibition, which are vital processes for maintaining blood pressure and preventing pathological remodeling of blood vessels. CNP binding to NPR-B stimulates the production of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), a secondary messenger that facilitates these physiological responses. Dysregulation of NPR-B signaling has been implicated in various cardiovascular diseases, making NPR-B (1E4) antibody valuable for therapeutic intervention research. Anti-NPR-B antibody (1E4) enables valuable insights into the natriuretic peptide system and its implications in health and disease.

Can sc-293451: NPR-B (1E4) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-293451: NPR-B (1E4) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
