NOMO Antibody (B-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NOMO protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NOMO (B-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NOMO proteins, which include NOMO1, NOMO2, and NOMO3, are encoded by a gene located in a region of duplication on the p arm of human chromosome 16, and play a crucial role in modulating Nodal signaling pathways. NOMO1, also known as Nodal modulator 1 or PM5, is a highly conserved single-pass type I membrane protein consisting of 1,222 amino acids, predominantly expressed in colon tumor tissue and normal colonic mucosa. NOMO proteins interact with Nicalin to form a Nicalin-NOMO complex that regulates stability and degradation of these proteins, thereby influencing Nodal signaling. This regulation is vital for various developmental processes and has implications in diseases such as pseudoxanthoma elasticum (PXE), given the proximity of NOMO genes to the gene responsible for PXE development (MRP6). anti-NOMO antibody (B-10) effectively detects and characterizes these proteins, making NOMO (B-10) monoclonal antibody an essential tool for researchers studying Nodal signaling and associated pathways.
