SEE ALSO...

Nodal Antibody (WS65) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Nodal in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Nodal antibody (WS65) is available in a non-conjugated form, providing flexibility for various experimental needs. Nodal, a member of the transforming growth factor β (TGFβ) superfamily, plays a crucial role in embryonic development, particularly in the formation of mesoderm during gastrulation. Nodal is expressed in the primitive streak, where ectodermal cells delaminate and differentiate into mesoderm, highlighting its importance in early developmental processes. Additionally, Nodal is involved in the regulation of left-right asymmetry in the developing embryo, influencing the direction of heart looping and overall embryonic turning. Understanding Nodal function is vital, as dysregulation can lead to developmental disorders and congenital anomalies. With broad species reactivity and multiple applications, Nodal monoclonal antibody (WS65) serves as an essential tool for researchers studying developmental biology and related fields.

Can sc-81953: Nodal (WS65) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-81953: Nodal (WS65) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining

Rated 4 out of 5 by from WS65 is good a antibody, but should give accurateWS65 is good a antibody, but should give accurate binding peptide sequence. I have used WS65 on Western blot to detect mature rhNodal for 15 ng (cat#: 3218-ND-025/CF, R&D), 13 kDa. If disclosing an accurate binding peptide sequence It will be more useful and helpful for researchers. I can use it on other project with the sequence.
