SEE ALSO...

Nociceptin Antibody (F-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Nociceptin protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Nociceptin (F-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Nociceptin, also known as orphanin FQ, is a neuropeptide that plays a crucial role in pain modulation and nociceptive responses. Nociceptin is primarily located in the central nervous system, where Nociceptin interacts with the kappa-type opioid receptor (KOR-3 or ORL1), a G protein-coupled receptor. This interaction influences pain perception, locomotor behavior, and synaptic plasticity, which are essential for learning and memory processes. Nociceptin′s unique structure, similar to traditional opioid peptides, enhances sensitivity to pain stimuli, making Nociceptin a critical target for pain management and neurobiology research.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with Nociceptin (F-10): sc-398073?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety

Can this be used for nociceptin receptor expressions in IF or westernblot? We are using CHO cell lines but it has a mixed expression of both kappa and nocicceptin receptors

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Primate retinaAntibody was tested under standard conditions (Long Y, Bordt AS, Liu WS, Davis EP, Lee SJ, Tseng L, Chuang AZ, Whitaker CM, Massey SC, Sherman MB, Marshak DW. Wide-field diffuse amacrine cells in the monkey retina contain immunoreactive Cocaine- and Amphetamine-Regulated Transcript (CART). Peptides. 2016 Oct;84:22-35). The isolated retina of a baboon was fixed for 60 minutes in 4% paraformaldehyde. Tissue was incubated for 9 days in a 1:1,000 solution of primary antibody with detergent and a blocking agent at 4 °C, washed, then incubated in an affinity-purified secondary antibody for 4 days at 4 °C, washed, and mounted in medium containing DAPI. No peptide blocking control was performed. Results: Bright punctate labeling and low background throughout the optic fiber layer, ganglion cell layer, inner plexiform layer, and inner nuclear layer (less).
