nm23-H1 Antibody (C-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects nm23-H1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). nm23-H1 (C-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. nm23-H1 plays a crucial role in cellular processes, particularly in metastasis regulation, as nm23-H1 has been identified as a potential suppressor of metastatic behavior in cancer cells. nm23-H1 was originally discovered through differential hybridization techniques comparing two murine melanoma sub-lines, revealing that highly metastatic cells exhibited significantly lower nm23-H1 levels compared to less metastatic counterparts. This relationship underscores nm23-H1′s importance in cancer biology, as expression levels can influence tumor progression and metastasis. Additionally, nm23-H1 is closely related to nucleotide diphosphate kinases (NDP), with human homologs nm23-H1 and nm23-H2 sharing significant sequence identity with NDP kinases A and B, respectively. nm23-H2 is identical in sequence to PuF, a transcription factor that interacts with specific elements in the human C-Myc promoter, highlighting nm23 proteins′ multifaceted roles in cellular signaling and gene regulation.
