NKRF Antibody (E-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NKRF protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-NKRF antibody (E-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NKRF protein, also known as NFκB repressing factor or transcription factor NRF, plays a crucial role in regulating immune responses by acting as a silencer protein that represses transcription of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as interferon-beta, interleukin-8, and nitric oxide synthase 2. This repression is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing excessive inflammation, which can lead to tissue damage and various inflammatory diseases. NKRF is predominantly localized in nucleoli and nucleoplasm, where NKRF contains essential nucleic acid binding domains, including G-patch and R3H, that facilitate interaction with DNA and RNA. Additionally, NKRF′s ability to bind to negative regulatory elements and directly interact with NFκB underscores importance in modulating transcriptional activity, thereby influencing overall inflammatory response. Furthermore, NKRF features a 5′ untranslated region with internal ribosome entry segment activity, which is regulated by RNA-binding protein JKTBP1, highlighting complexity of regulatory mechanisms.
