NKG2-A Antibody (16A11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects NKG2-A protein of mouse origin by flow cytometry (FCM). anti-NKG2-A antibody (16A11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs. NKG2-A plays a crucial role in the regulation of natural killer (NK) cell activity, functioning as an inhibitory receptor that interacts with class I major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules. This interaction is vital for maintaining immune homeostasis, as NKG2-A helps prevent NK cell activation against healthy cells, thereby reducing autoimmunity risk. NKG2-A receptor belongs to a larger family of receptors, including the killer cell inhibitory receptor/leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor (KIR/LIR) family and C-type lectin superfamily, which collectively modulate NK cell responses. Understanding NKG2-A function is essential for developing therapeutic strategies aimed at enhancing NK cell activity in cancer immunotherapy, where distinguishing between healthy and malignant cells is critical for effective treatment outcomes.

How can NKG2-A (16A11): sc-53025 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: AbPolly
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-53025 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-53025 FITC).
