SEE ALSO...

Nitrotyrosine Antibody (7A5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects nitrotyrosine in non-species reactive samples by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-nitrotyrosine antibody (7A5) recognizes a critical biomarker for inflammation and nitric oxide (NO) production, formed when nitric oxide interacts with tyrosine residues in proteins, leading to the formation of peroxynitrite. This post-translational modification indicates oxidative stress and cellular damage, which are pivotal in various pathological conditions. Elevated levels of nitrotyrosine have been associated with numerous inflammatory diseases, including septic shock, rheumatoid arthritis, celiac disease, atherosclerotic plaques, and chronic renal failure, making nitrotyrosine a valuable target for research into these conditions. Nitrotyrosine monoclonal antibody (7A5) provides a reliable tool for studying nitrotyrosine in inflammatory processes, helping researchers better understand disease mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets.

I am using Nitrotyrosine (7A5): sc-81482 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration.
