    SEE ALSO...

NIPP1 Antibody (A-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NIPP1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-NIPP1 antibody (A-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NIPP1, known as nuclear inhibitor of protein phosphatase 1, plays a crucial role in regulating cellular processes such as pre-mRNA splicing and cell proliferation, making NIPP1 essential for proper gene expression and cellular function. NIPP1 contains a forkhead-associated (FHA) domain, which is significant for interactions with protein kinases and transcription factors, thereby influencing various signaling pathways. NIPP1 gene encodes three isoforms—α, β, and γ—resulting from alternative splicing, each exhibiting distinct RNA binding activities and phosphatase inhibition capabilities. Notably, γ isoform functions as a magnesium-dependent endoribonuclease, primarily found in B cells and T lymphocytes, and is responsible for cleaving RNA strands, which is vital for RNA processing and regulation. α and β isoforms are predominantly localized in the brain and kidney, highlighting diverse functional roles of NIPP1 across different tissues. Inactivation of NIPP1 occurs through phosphorylation at Serine 199 or Serine 204, which can modulate NIPP1 activity and interactions with other proteins. NIPP1 interacts with several key proteins, including CDc5L, SAP 155, MELK, and EED, further underscoring NIPP1′s importance in cellular signaling and regulatory networks.
