NF-L Antibody (NR4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects neurofilament light polypeptide (NF-L) in mouse, rat, and human samples through immunofluorescence (IF) applications. Anti-NF-L antibody (NR4) recognizes a crucial component of the neuronal cytoskeleton, playing a significant role in maintaining the structural integrity of neurons. NF-L (NR4) monoclonal antibody targets proteins primarily located in the axons of neurons, where NF-L contributes to the regulation of axon caliber and overall stability of neuronal architecture. Proper functioning of NF-L is vital for neuronal health, as alterations in expression or phosphorylation status can lead to neurodegenerative conditions such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson′s disease, and Alzheimer′s disease. The dynamic nature of neurofilaments, which includes their ability to interact with other cytoskeletal elements like microtubules and actin filaments, underscores their importance in neuronal function and signaling. NF-L (NR4) monoclonal antibody serves as an essential tool for researchers investigating the role of neurofilaments in health and disease, providing insights into molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegeneration.
