Neuro D Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody designed to detect human Neuro D protein, also known as NEUROD1 or neuronal differentiation 1. Anti-Neuro D antibody (A-10) targets an epitope spanning amino acids 281-356 of Neuro D protein, ensuring accurate recognition in applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Neuro D is a critical basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor involved in neurogenic differentiation, playing an essential role in the development and terminal differentiation of neurons within both the central and peripheral nervous systems. By regulating gene expression, Neuro D is pivotal for cell type determination and maturation, which are fundamental processes for proper neuronal function and overall brain development. Neuro D (A-10) monoclonal antibody is available in various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for diverse experimental requirements. Whether used in non-conjugated form or with specific labels, Neuro D (A-10) antibody effectively facilitates the study of Neuro D′s role in neurogenesis and capacity to induce the differentiation of neuronal precursors into mature neurons, as evidenced by driving neuronal differentiation in model organisms like Xenopus embryos. Reliable and validated, Neuro D (A-10) monoclonal antibody is an indispensable tool for researchers exploring the mechanisms of neuronal development and intricate processes of cell differentiation governed by transcription factors such as Neuro D.

Dear Sir, do you know if this antibody reacts with mouse NeuroD??

Asked by: Lorena Varela
Thank you for your question. We do not yet have data confirming reactivity in mouse samples, and so this is not a recommended species reactivity at this time. As an alternative, we would recommend a different antibody, Neuro D (G-12): sc-398891, which is recommended for use in mouse, rat and human samples.

Has this antibody been tested with PE for FACS? Concerned about the size of PE considering NeuroD1 is a intranuclear protein.

Asked by: Mart
Thank you for your question. We recommend the AlexaFluor conjugate of this antibody for flow cytometry. You can find our recommended protocol for flow cytometry by following this link: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/flow-cytometry

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-46684 X be used instead of the standard form sc-46684?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from western blotI have used this antibody to do western blot on mouse kidney tissue lysates. The antibody(1:1000) been incubated at 4 °C over night, then with secondary antibody goat anti mouse IgG -HRP at room temperature for 1 hour and exposed 1-5min, The antibody gives the right target band ,it's really a absolutely best choicefor Neuro D analysis.
