Neurensin-2 Antibody (H-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Neurensin-2 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Neurensin-2 Antibody (H-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NRSN2 is a 204 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein belonging to the VMP family, which plays a crucial role in vesicle transport and maintenance within cells. NRSN2 is predominantly expressed in brain cell bodies of the hippocampus, diagonal band, amygdaloid nucleus, and habenula nucleus, highlighting NRSN2′s importance in neural function and signaling. NRSN2 has been identified as a potential tumor suppressor gene and candidate biomarker for long-term survival in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). NRSN2 is encoded on human chromosome 20, a region comprising approximately 2% of the human genome and containing over 600 genes, some implicated in neurological disorders such as Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. NRSN2′s significance in both normal physiology and disease states underscores NRSN2′s potential as a valuable target for therapeutic intervention and biomarker development.
