NDR1 Antibody (A-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects NDR1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NDR1 (A-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NDR1 plays a crucial role in regulating cell division and morphology, which is vital for maintaining normal cellular functions and preventing tumor progression. NDR1 is localized primarily in the nucleus, where NDR1 is involved in cell cycle regulation, while NDR2 is found in the cytoplasm. This distinct localization suggests that NDR1 may have specific nuclear functions essential for cellular homeostasis and response to stress signals. Both NDR1 and NDR2 are regulated by phosphorylation and interact with the calcium-binding protein S-100B, highlighting their importance in cellular signaling pathways. NDR1 and NDR2 have been implicated in the HIV-1 life cycle, as these proteins are cleaved by the HIV-1 protease, which can inhibit their enzymatic activity and alter their localization. The genes encoding human NDR1 and NDR2 are located on chromosomes 6p21 and 12p11.23, respectively, further emphasizing their relevance in human health and disease.
