NDR1/2 Antibody (E-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NDR1/2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NDR1/2 (E-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The nuclear Dbf2-related kinases, NDR1 and NDR2, are crucial for regulating cell division and morphology, which are vital processes in maintaining normal cellular function and preventing tumorigenesis. NDR1 and NDR2 exhibit distinct localization patterns within cells; NDR1 is primarily found in the nucleus, while NDR2 displays a punctate distribution in the cytoplasm. This differential localization suggests that NDR1 may be more involved in nuclear signaling pathways, whereas NDR2 could play a role in cytoplasmic processes. Both proteins undergo regulation by phosphorylation and the calcium-binding protein S-100B, which can influence activity and localization. NDR1 and NDR2 have also been implicated in the HIV-1 life cycle, as HIV-1 protease cleaves these proteins, leading to alterations in enzymatic activity and subcellular localization. The genes encoding human NDR1 and NDR2 are located on chromosomes 6p21 and 12p11.23, respectively, highlighting evolutionary conservation and potential importance in various biological processes.
