    SEE ALSO...

NCK1/2 Antibody (G-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NCK1/2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NCK1/2 (G-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The NCK family of SH2/SH3 adaptor proteins, comprising NCK1 (NCKα) and NCK2 (NCKβ), plays a crucial role in linking tyrosine kinase signaling pathways, such as those activated by epidermal growth factor (EGF) and platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), to downstream signaling proteins. NCK1 interacts with various signaling molecules, including p21-activated kinase (PAK), which is a key regulator of the actin cytoskeleton. This interaction is vital for cellular processes such as migration and morphology, as NCK1 mediates the connection between PAK and RAC, a small GTPase involved in cytoskeletal dynamics. Additionally, NCK2 binds to human PDGFR-β at tyrosine 1009, and NCK2 overexpression can inhibit PDGF-induced membrane ruffling and lamellipod formation, highlighting its regulatory role in cell motility. Human NCK1 and NCK2 genes are located on chromosomes 3q21 and 2q12, respectively, and their expression is modulated by various growth factor receptors, cell surface antigens, and adhesion molecules, underscoring their significance in cellular signaling and function.
