    SEE ALSO...

NCB5OR Antibody (D-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects NCB5OR of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NCB5OR (D-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NCB5OR, also known as cytochrome b5 reductase 4 (CYB5R4), is a flavohemoprotein that plays a vital role in cellular metabolism and redox reactions. NCB5OR is primarily located in the endoplasmic reticulum, where NCB5OR colocalizes with calreticulin, highlighting NCB5OR′s importance in the stress response of the endoplasmic reticulum. NCB5OR contains a cytochrome b5 heme-binding domain, one CS domain, two FAD binding motifs, and two iron binding motifs, which are crucial for enzymatic activity. NCB5OR is involved in reducing various substrates, including cytochrome c, methemoglobin, ferricyanide, and molecular oxygen, thereby contributing to cellular protection against oxidative stress. NCB5OR is essential for safeguarding pancreatic beta-cells from oxidative damage, and NCB5OR absence can lead to insulin-deficient diabetes, underscoring NCB5OR′s significance in metabolic health.
