SEE ALSO...

Nanog Antibody (C-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody engineered to detect Nanog protein of mouse origin across various applications, including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Nanog antibody (C-4) is raised against amino acids 181-329, mapping to the C-terminus of Nanog protein, ensuring accurate recognition and binding to the targeted epitope. Nanog, also called Nanog homeobox, is a pivotal homeodomain-containing transcription factor that plays a critical role in maintaining pluripotency and self-renewal of embryonic stem cells, preventing their differentiation into specialized cell types. By regulating the expression of key genes involved in maintaining an undifferentiated state, Nanog (C-4) monoclonal antibody enables the study and manipulation of stem cell properties necessary for tissue regeneration and repair. Nanog orchestrates gene expression programs that sustain the pluripotent state, enabling scientists to understand and harness the mechanisms underlying cellular reprogramming and differentiation. Nanog monoclonal antibody (C-4) serves as an indispensable tool for researchers investigating molecular pathways that govern stem cell maintenance and differentiation, facilitating advancements in therapeutic strategies aimed at treating various diseases and injuries. With high affinity and specificity for mouse Nanog protein, anti-Nanog antibody (C-4) supports comprehensive studies into fundamental processes of cellular pluripotency and differentiation, contributing to significant breakthroughs in stem cell biology and innovative biomedical applications.

Can Nanog (C-4): sc-376915 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, Nanog (C-4): sc-376915 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not workUsed it on D3 mouse embryonic stem cell - didn't bind at all. Just show the same straining as isotype control. Tried 4 different dilutions, including the manufacturer's recommended concentration, no difference in either. Bought both the 488 and 647 conjugate, same deal. Had Sox2, Oct4 and SSEA-1 in the same experiment, and those stained very well. I am guessing it's probably this particular antibody is not good.
