Nanog Antibody (A-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody designed to detect Nanog from mouse, rat, and human origins through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Nanog antibody (A-11) targets a precise epitope mapping between amino acids 267-301 near the C-terminus of mouse Nanog, ensuring accurate recognition and binding. Nanog, also called Nanog homeobox, is a critical homeodomain-containing transcription factor that plays a pivotal role in maintaining pluripotency and self-renewal of embryonic stem cells, thereby preventing differentiation. Structurally, Nanog consists of a conserved homeodomain essential for specific DNA binding, as well as regions that facilitate protein-protein interactions, which are crucial for forming complexes that regulate gene expression networks involved in stem cell maintenance. Nanog undergoes various post-translational modifications, including phosphorylation, acetylation, ubiquitination, and sumoylation. These modifications regulate Nanog′s stability, subcellular localization, and interaction with other regulatory proteins, thereby modulating activity and ensuring precise control over stem cell pluripotency and differentiation processes. Nanog monoclonal antibody (A-11) recognizes Nanog across different species and detects these modified forms, making anti-Nanog antibody (A-11) an invaluable tool for researchers studying stem cell biology, developmental biology, and regenerative medicine.
